World of Tanks Teams Up with AT Racing Team

World of Tanks - news

If you keep your eyes peeled at this year’s Le Mans, you’ll see a tank flying around the track. Why? Because Wargaming has teamed up with AT Racing to showcase World of Tanks’ artwork across the Ligier LMP3. Due to the initiative driven by the racing team, Wargaming has become the first ever gaming company to brand a Le Mans racing vehicle.

Behind AT Racing is Alexander Talkanitsa Sr. and Alexander Talkanitsa Jr., a powerful father-and-son racing duo from Belarus, accompanied by Mikkel Jensen. So far, AT Racing has earned major accolades in the ELMS since 2014; the GT Open since 2010; were 1st in 6hrs Brno 2009; won the FIA Citation Cup 2008 (4 wins); and participated in endurance racing in Austria and the Czech Republic in 2007.

“Speed, fast reactions, teamwork, and coherent actions are all things you can find in both World of Tanks and endurance racing,” said Maxim Chuvalov, Product Marketing Manager, World of Tanks. “We wish the team good luck, and can’t wait to see them on the track.”

“We wanted to collaborate with Wargaming because we’re from Belarus, the birthplace of World of Tanks,” said Alexander Talkanitsa Sr., AT Racing team. “We’re following the company’s success and are proud that the game, made in a small country, is a massive hit across the world. It’s a very unusual experience for us, and we’re happy to seize this opportunity.”

You can see the team driving the World of Tanks-branded racing car this year on April 14–15 in Silverstone, UK, on May 12–14 in Monza, Italy, and on July 21–23 at Red Bull Ring, Austria.
