We thought today was the right time to present our exclusive selection of the 10 best free-to-play browser games in July 2014. In comparison to last month, some quite tremendous changes have taken place, with a total of three new addtions to our ranking, which is true for The Settlers Online, Zombies Ate My Pizza and Sparta: War of Empires. The former two reenter our selection after a short break.
This month's climbers, one of which is Pirate Storm, cause other MMOs to fall back behind, which is the case of, for example, Battlestar Galactica Online, Drakensang, Therian Saga or Panzer General Online. There's not a single MMO that managed to maintain its position!
However, we don't want to reveal any more details, so have a look at our ranking to discover our new number 1!

The Settlers Online is a browser-based free-to-play strategy game set in the Settlers Universe and is available to play now. There are multiple ships to command, with a huge variety of upgrades and customisation choices. Also, varied progression options that offer the freedom to create your ideal Battlestar Galactica character.

Drakensang Online is a browser-based, action-packed online RPG with an exciting plot and a world full of fantastic adventure that combines the best elements from action RPGs and MMORPGs. The dynamic battles provide more action than the classic MMORPGs. KingsRoad is a free-to-play action massively multiplayer role-playing game in which you take on the role of a Knight, Wizard or Archer, which present the game’s three dynamic classes you can freely switch between without the need to create another character. Zombies Ate My Pizza (ZAMP) is an exciting, fun and fast-paced free-to-play shooter RPG in which players take on the role of a survivor after the zombie apocalypse, rallying together with other humans to fight back the infected horde of pizza devoring enemies.
5 - Therian Saga
Therian Saga is a free-to-play fantasy MMORPG which allows players to create their own fantasy hero and turn them into a legend, assisted by various companions that they will pick up on their journey as they adventure across the realm discovering treasure, monsters and glory or rise as a legendary crafter, artisan or an even more infamous spy.
4 - Panzer General Online
In Panzer General Online, players get to build up and command their own World War II forces in battle against competitive AI or players from across the world in exciting turn-based duels. Using a variety of units, which range from infantry to tanks, trucks and more, players can combine their attacks with strategic command cards that allow tactical manoeuvring around the battlefield to try and outsmart their opponent.

Sparta: War of Empires is a free-to-play city building MMO that takes players to ancient Greece that suffers from an assault of Xerxes and his Persian army. They are in charge of a city state and must successfully manage their own resources, personal army and the expansion of their territory.

Pirate Storm is a free-to-play, browser-based MMO game set in the era of pirates. Also playable through Facebook, alone or with other pirates in their guild, players must face monsters from the darkest depths of the ocean and greedy enemy pirates.

Forge of Empires is a browser-based strategy game that allows players to create a city and develop it from the Stone Age and onward throughout the centuries. Players can create a vast empire through military campaigns and skillful dealings.
