Wargaming has launched World of Tanks' Update 8.9 which adds the new 7 vs. 7 team battles, a new competitive mode in which players can form their own teams and fight against players of similar skill and experience.

In addition to the new game mode, the update brings a second line of German tank destroyers across tiers 4 through 10, the Chinese 112 and T-34-3 premium tanks. In addition, the update is going to add a new battle arena with a North American setting named “Northwest”, and the Encounter battle mode for the Erlenberg.
