We thought today was the right time to present our exclusive selection of the 10 best free-to-play browser games in December 2014. Be prepared for some quite tremendous changes in comparison to last month, as only two MMOs - one of which is Eredan iTCG - were able to defend their position.
Back among the 10 best browsed-based games of the month are Pirate Storm and The Settlers Online and while Forge of Empires, Tribal Wars 2, Drakensang Online and Anno Online count among this month's climbers, other MMOs such as fall back behind, which is true for Panzer General Online and Sparta: War of Empires.
However, we don't want to reveal any more details, so have a look at our ranking to find out if there's a new number 1!

10 - Pirate Storm
Pirate Storm is a free-to-play, browser-based MMO game set in the era of pirates. Also playable through Facebook, alone or with other pirates in their guild, players must face monsters from the darkest depths of the ocean and greedy enemy pirates.

Forge of Empires is a browser-based strategy game that allows players to create a city and develop it from the Stone Age and onward throughout the centuries. Players can create a vast empire through military campaigns and skillful dealings.
8 - Panzer General Online
In Panzer General Online, players get to build up and command their own World War II forces in battle against competitive AI or players from across the world in exciting turn-based duels. Using a variety of units, which range from infantry to tanks, trucks and more, players can combine their attacks with strategic command cards that allow tactical manoeuvring around the battlefield to try and outsmart their opponent.
7 - The Settlers Online
The Settlers Online is a browser-based free-to-play strategy game set in the Settlers Universe and is available to play now. Players are able to settle a new city and join thousands of gamers already online to create or join guilds, trade resources and acquire and exchange bonuses to help each other out along the way to building a mighty kingdom.
6 - Tribal Wars 2
Tribal Wars 2 is a free-to-play cross-platform MMORTS in which players are made the leader of their own small town in the midst of a medieval world. Their task is to the defend and expand their empire through war or diplomacy, which requires them to train and lead an army, fortify their castle, improve their strategic skills and forge pacts and alliances with others.

5 - Eredan iTCG
Eredan iTCG in an online trading card game set in an original medieval fantasy universe where players will use a deck of characters to fight against NPCs or others real players. It offers multiple game modes and nearly endless strategic possibilities. Choose your guild, your fighters, your spells and create your own unique deck to surprise your opponents.
4 - Drakensang Online
Drakensang Online is a browser-based, action-packed online RPG with an exciting plot and a world full of fantastic adventure that combines the best elements from action RPGs and MMORPGs.
