OnNet has announced today the start of the open beta of its free to play multiplayer golf simulator Winning Putt. Although the game will be launched officially at the end of the year, the beginning of the open beta will allow all players who want it, to experience something beyond a simple golf game.

The game has some very interesting social elements, such as the ability to create groups, create tournaments among friends or form a Guild, which also provide additional benefits, like a special room for the members of the Guild. As we progress through the game we can improve our gear and learn new skills (such as perceive the direction of the wind, or note the slope of the green) to improve the skill of our characters. In addition we can customize the look of our characters thanks to a wide variety of clothes and accessories.

The open beta brings 7 different courses, and allows us to enjoy several social features; we also participate in betting rounds where they get to bet with the in-game currency.
