Ubisoft is going to distribute TERA

Today, Ubisoft has announced that it has signed an agreement with Korean developer Bluehole Studio for the European retail distribution of TERA, the fantasy MMO currently scheduled for release in 2011.

TERA is an ambitious and visually stunning game that will stretch the boundaries of MMOs. We are very excited to make it available to European customers” said Alexis Garavaryan, EMEA Business Development Associate at Ubisoft.

Ubisoft will manage the distribution of TERA to its vast network on European retail partners, while online distribution and publishing operations for TERA in Europe will be handled by Berlin-based publisher Frogster Interactive Pictures AG.
TERA will be available in three languages at launch -- English, French and German.

We believe that the outstanding distribution network and credible recognition which Ubisoft retained so far as a key player in the European market will be a great support for TERA's distribution in Europe. With such a strong partner at our side, we expect to continue our successful performance in Europe", Gang-seok Kim, CEO of Bluehole Studio, commented on the contract.

Too bad, Tera looked promising but I refuse to play anything relating to Ubisoft in any way due to their draconian DRM schemes they force on gamers.
