Today, we want to bring you this selection of the 10 best free-to-play shooter MMOs that most caught our attention in July 2014. Despite the fact that 3 MMOFPS, one of which is PlanetSide 2, are able to defend their positions, the attentive reader will notice quite a few changes in comparison to last month's ranking. While F.E.A.R. Online has left the Top Ten, shooters such as Brick-Force and Heroes & Generals, fall back behind, giving way to this month's climbers, S.K.I.L.L. - Special Force 2, Blacklight Retribution, Hawken and Firefall.
As we don't want to reveal any more details, you will have to take a look for youself to find out their individual ranking and discover which shooter has reached the very top in July 2014.

Warface is a free-to-play 3D shooter MMO that combines competitive gameplay with the traditional single player modus and also offers cooperative gameplay for one or more players. Players may customize their weapons in real-time and even during battles. Swapping between different scopes, muzzles, rails and other state-of-the-art gadgets mid-game enables the Warface elite to aim better, strike faster, shoot farther and hit harder.
6 - Blacklight Retribution
Blacklight Retribution is a free-to-play multiplayer online first person shooter based in a futuristic urban warzone. By fully utilizing Unreal 3 technology and implementing DirectX 11, it provides gamers with stunning graphics. Players have access to a massive arsenal of weaponry and gear ranging from bleeding edge side arms to massive mechanized Hardsuits.

5 - Heroes and Generals
Heroes & Generals is an online war game with multiple game modes accessible from multiple platforms. Players are able to play the game as the hero on the battlefield in the action-packed FPS mode, the officer making the tactical decisions to win the battle, the general command devising the grand strategy in the RTS mode.
4 - Hawken
Hawken is a free-to-play online multiplayer mech-based first-person shooter that puts players in the pilot seat of a giant robotic war machine.
