TERA Releases The Sword and Hoard Update

TERA - news

En Masse Entertainment has released the latest update for their award-winning action MMORPG, TERA, which includes a number of revisions and enhancements to the game—most notably a revamp of the warrior character class. Dubbed Sword and Hoard, the update is now live on TERA’s North American servers.

Like the sorcerer and archer before it, the warrior is getting a refresh that brings welcome changes for both veterans of the class and new players alike. Overall, the warrior has been buffed up and made more powerful through changes and additions like the new skill “Head On,” which increases Crit Power by 18% when attacking from the front. Other adjustments have been made to the warrior to make it a more satisfying class to play for those who love to quickly inflict damage on their enemies from all sides.

Players who want to explore what the improved warrior class has to offer will be rewarded with a leveling event that will run from Tuesday, January 31 through Tuesday, February 14. During the event, when players reach level 15 as a warrior, they will receive a special reward box that can only be opened when that character reaches level 65. The box contains a complement of in-game goodies including a permanent Night Mare mount, a permanent warrior weapon skin, a new Tier 9 Slaughter weapon called Filet & Steak (along with a +9 enchantment scroll), and a variety of useful consumables.

In addition to the regular list of fixes, fine-tuning, and rebalancing that are part of every TERA update, Sword and Hoard also introduces a new equipment item slot, a system for enhancing accessories, and an improved version of noctenium (along with a means of converting your old noctenium).
