CONAN EXILES - news

Funcom has just revealed the different types of servers in Conan Exiles. The upcoming survival game set in the universe of Conan will go into Early Access on PC on January 31, and today we learn about the server system. Also, Funcom has annuounced mod support on PC.

For the Early Access, official servers will feature 70 players and will be wiped every 30 days. There will a wide variety to suit different communities: Purist, Relaxed, Hardcore, Roleplaying and Experimental.

“The great thing about these games is that you can play them however you want,” says Creative Director Joel Bylos. “You can easily set up a server and play with your friends, and with our in-game controls you can simply adjust all aspects of your play experience to suit your playstyle whether that is turning off thirst, spawning a huge monster, or stop the day/night cycle. If you want to play all by yourself locally, you have access to the very same controls.”

For those who prefer not to play on an official server, it will be possible to host local games and unofficial servers. It will be possible to set up dedicated servers using your own hardcore or by renting servers. Admins will hace access to a powerful server control system that allows to modify server aspects of the play experience.

Additionally, Conan Exiles will feature full mod support on PC. Mod developers will be able to download a custom Unreal Engine editor and make all kinds of modifications to the game.
