Guild Wars Trilogy exclusive review

We have recently tested this game which collects the original game, Guild Wars, and the Factions and Nightfall expansions. First thing that stands out is its resemblance to classic RPGs. After selecting the different default options while creating your character, you will reach an uncommon part where you will be able to customize all the starting clothes colours of your character. Nowadays, the game has a dynamic load system so the installation does not need much free space and it downloads the zones while you are getting into them. This is an advantage for people who has not a very fast connection because the will not need to be waiting for days to start playing.

Once we are inside the game, the perfect finish of the textures and the feeling of immersion in the world attract our attention. The game has the classic quests system with an obvious Korean influence on the gameplay as it has automovement, autoface, and the ability to move by doing click. The combat is enjoyable and we have to choose which abilities we want to use wisely because each ability consumes a large amount of energy.

The workings of the game are different to those we are used to. There is a server system you can connect to with the same character. Once you are connected, you will get into an instanced world where you can go with a group or you can full with NPCs with common roles and play alone most part of the game. Your character can be completely changed when you visit a Main City, you can change the outfit, the skills, or redistribute the points to upgrade these skills as you wish. On the other hand the skill system is very easy because you just can have 8, so you must choose prudently among the multiple skills that are available for each class. You can also save your character’s configuration and use it some other time.

In short, it has a very original gamestyle, different to most of MMOs in the market, and a great amount of contents for a lonely player with several campaigns and the possibility of creating a group with NPCs if it is necessary. Finally, we must emphasize that we do not have to pay monthly instalments, we just need to buy the game or the expansions and we will be able to play wherever we want, no need of paying character transfers.
