The Elder Scrolls Online has just received a new content update, the first major DLC of 2017: Homestead. This freeupdate allows players to purchase homes, manors, apartments and even an island through the Crown Store with in-game gold. Homes can be customized with over 2,000 decorating items, such as furniture or books and other items. Watch the trailer:

This update will release on consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4) on February 21.

On release there are nearly 40 different homes, each one styled after of the game's ten playable races. Players can own multiple homes of several sizes, and these are shared across all characters.
