Black Desert Online Announced for Western Markets

Black Desert Online - news

Daum Games Europe has announced that it will be the responsible for launching the anticipated Korean MMORPG Black Desert Online to Europe and North America in early 2016. The European and North American versions will be different from the Russian and Korean versions of the game, because it won't be launched as a Free-to-Play game since it will have a Buy-to-Play model with a digital shop with cosmetic and convenience items.

Other aspects that will differentiate this version of the game (as well as its economic model) will be the offered services , the game's balancing, and its progression.

We are putting a lot of effort in the game’s Western localization,” said Daniel Loehr (AKA Belsazar), Project Manager at Daum Games, “We are localizing approximate 2.5 million words into English, German and French. Black Desert Online's content and gameplay sytems will be adjusted to accommodate Western players and our differentiating business model.
