World of Warships Entering Closed Beta This Month

World of Warships - news

Wargaming has just communicated the beginning of closed beta testing of World of Warships for March 12. During the test, 5 original maps and a total of 50 Japanese and US warships will be made available for play.

The beta test will comprise four warship classes: American aircraft carriers to provide players with reconnaissance options, heavily armoured Japanese battleships, highly manoeuvrable destroyers perfect for scouting, and cruisers which have a great resistance against enemy destroyers. The introduction of US battleships and Japanese aircraft carriers is planned for the future.

Crews are represented by warships commanders and will play an essential part in gameplay. When increasing in level, commanders will gain points they will be able to spend on various skills divided into several ranks and categories.

In addition to personnel training, modernisations will allow players to develop a ship's combat capability. The various modernisations available enable players to enhance specific aspects, e.g. a ship's resilience to fire and flooding or a weapon's durability.
