Perfect World and Cryptic Studio have just announced the release of Delta Recruitment for Star Trek Online on April 2. This all-new in-game event is supposed to prepare for the future Iconian War and allows new and seasoned users alike to gain unique rewards.

The Delta Recruitment event, an arc-story experience that will span several months, will unveil the invasion of the ancient race of the Iconians that threatens the galaxy with reasserting their rule.

Delta Recruitment will provide players with personal as well as community-wide goals the completion of which will reward new captains created during the event with progression-based rewards including gear, week long events, upgrade materials, and valuable numerics. Veteran users will be granted an additional character slot which allows for the creation of a Delta Recruit. All progression-based rewards moreover include an account-wide unlock variant in order to keep your alternate characters up to speed while levelling a new recruit.
