User-Generated Content in War Thunder

War Thunder - news

Gaijin Entertainment has launched the major content update 1.39 for their flight combat action MMO War Thunder, which includes user-generated content as well as Squadron Battles, new maps and missions and early access to the Ground Forces expansion.

Players can now download special tools which enable them to create their own planes. They may just add tiny details inside the cockpit, completely personalise their plane's skin or even create an entirely new model. Their new creations can then be flown in custom missions on a local PC or shared with the community after the quick-check system has confirmed that they fit within the game's parameters.

In addition, players can also use the stand-alone maps and missions editor to either use existing maps as a blueprint for their creation or devise their bery own brand of new maps, which can then be shared and tested out via a special area within the War Thunder forum.

And finally, update 1.39 will allow those who currently possess codes for the Ground Forces Expansion Closed Beta to be the first to play as either a tank or an aircraft 24/7.
