Tokens Arrive to World of Warcraft

WoW - news

World of Warcraft is about to introduce a new in-game item that will allow players to securely exchange gold and game time between each other. Called WoW Token, it's been designed to offer players with lots of extra gold and the option to use it to cover their monthly fee costs and give those who wants to purchase gold a way to do it legally from fellow players through a simple and secure system.

The Token will be making its debut in an upcoming patch and will be available through the in-game shop for real money (price to be determinated). Then players can sell it on the Auction House for gold at the current market price. Once bought with gold from the AH, the token will become Soulbound and the player can redeem it for 30 days of game time.

Obviously, the gold value of a token will be determinated based on supply and demand. However, when players visit the AH, they will be presented with the current market price—there's no bidding involved, and all Tokens in a game region are priced the same at any given moment.
