Stronghold Kingdoms: Fourth Age Dawns

Stronghold Kingdoms - news

With the latest content update for their free-to-play MMORTS, Stronghold Kingdoms, Firefly Studios have introduced gunpowder and a new defensive weapon, leading the game to the "Forth Age". The patch, now available for download, also brings a new building as well as multiple changes to the core gameplay rules.

"With the Age system it has always been our intent to provide each game world with a sense of progression. In previous Ages this meant changing the gameplay rule set to keep Kingdoms fresh for players and evolve the design according to their feedback. With the Fourth Age we have once again introduced new gameplay rules, but for the first time ever the game has also taken a step forward in time."

The update includes the Military School that grants access to gunpowder and a new defensive castle structure which shoots randomly, resulting in rather less accuracy but making up this lack with the ability to deal splash damage.

Furthermore, all in-game factions will now disband, army move with increased speed and players are enabled to own more castles in total.
