Star Wars: The Old Republic presents the new Warzone Arenas

EA Bioware has presented a new PvP feature for Star Wars: The Old Republic called the Warzone Arenas, which are coming to the game in the Update 2.4 and that will also remove the F2P restriction needed to enter in the Warzones.

These arenas will be quite small and are going to include interesting features like line of sight blockers, elevations and killing fields and each one of them (at the moment there are 3 warzone arenas: Corellia, Tatooine, and an Orbital Station) will be different, so you will have to learn which strategies are best at each arena. The objective of the Warzone arenas is simple, fight in frantic 4 vs 4 battles where you have to annihilate your enemies, simple and direct, which survives WINS. Each arena will consist of 3 rounds, and the team scoring more victories wins the game.

Ranked Arenas will come in two flavors, Solo and Group. Solo players can queue up for Ranked Arenas and be matched with other players of the same rating to compete in Arenas exclusively; no other Warzone maps are present in this Ranked queue. In addition to being matched by rating the match making system also determines the role of the character (DPS, Tank or Healer) and matches them with an analog of the same rank on the other team.
