We’ve had a glimpse at Goodgame Studios’ latest strategic fantasy-themed empire building MMO Shadow Kings, which is accessible via any internet browser and absolutely free-to-play. The game allows players to become the ruler of their very own town that they are tasked to enhance by gathering resources and constructing structures and fortifications. They will also have to set up a mighty army in order to defend their territory and wage war against rival players as well as computer-controlled Orc enemies.
For our trial, we’ve played several levels in order to gather an impression of the title. Although Shadow Kings has a lot of similarities with another Goodgame MMO, namely Goodgame Empire, we’ve noticed some twists and tweaks along with a distinct UI and graphical style.
