Bioware has just announced the next free expansion for Star Wars The Old Republic, which will introduce housing this summer. Galactic Strongholds will be available for free-to-play users in August. They also released a trailer to show what players can expect.
The expansion will enable players to live on multiple planets and customise their prestigious apartments. They can live in the heart of their faction’s capital world, in style among the high-rollers of Nar Shaddaa, or even both by owning multiple Strongholds.
To express their own personal style, players will have loads of unique decorations at their disposal, which will also boost their Prestige score to compete for top ranking in the Stronghold Directory. Players can socialise by inviting their friends who will be transported to their Stronghold from any in-game location. At official launch, Guilds will moreover be able to launch powerful Guild Flagships members can use to meet, plan, and strategise for their next adventure.
To celebrate the announcement of Galactic Strongholds, subscribers are rewarded with bonus cartel coins other special rewards such as early access, a luxurious sky palace.
