Gameforge has just announced that interested players can now register through the official website for a chance to participate in the beta testing of the upcoming free-to-play trading card MMO HEX: Shards of Fate. They also released an all-new gameplay trailer showcasing the first in-game scenes.
In HEX: Shards of Fate, players will enjoy strategic trading card gameplay combined with elements of traditional online RPGs to have an entirely new gaming experience. One special feature with HEX is cards have the ability to level up and to be improved with special gems, which allows players to customise their decks to their own needs and liking and to refine their strategies. Gemstones attached to cards can strengthen magic or upgrade your servants with additional attributes.
There's a total of 6 classes and 8 races players may choose their hero from, who then controls the deck in a similar manner as a general while also influencing the game tactics with their individual abilities. By gaining EXP, the champions level up over time, improving their existing abilities and acquiring new ones in doing so. Heroes can moreover be enhanced using varied equipment items and weapons.
