A New Beta Weekend for World of Warships

World of Warships - news

Wargaming has just unveiled plans to host a 2nd 3-day-long Beta Weekend for World of Warships from January 23 to 25. They've also released an all-new cinematic trailer you’ll find further below.

"World of Warships' first Beta weekend was a great success," told Daniil Volkov, World of Warships Development Director. "There was an undeniable demand for the fourth class of warships—the aircraft carriers. The unique RTS style of gameplay that they have, together with the extension of tech trees up to Tier 10 and introduction of Divisions will offer a wealth of great content for players and open up a new dimension to their gameplay."

Titled "Wings Over the Water", the event will see the introduction of the 4th class of warships, enabling testers to also try out aircraft carriers, which not only provide commanders with the ability to launch 3 types of warplane squadrons (torpedo bombers, dive bombers and fighters) against their opponents, but also involve RTS style gameplay, thus offering a one-of-a-kind angle to combat.

The availability of 10 tiers will allow testing warship commanders to increase in level and get access to some iconic American and Japanese military vessels, including Japan's Shimakaze destroyer, the Nagato and Yamato battleships as well as the US Fletcher destroyer and Pensacola cruiser.

Furthermore, it’s for the very 1st time that players will get the opportunity to group together in Divisions of 3 to put themselves to a test against other Divisions.
