We dedicated some of our time to check out the new MMORPG Monkey King Online which is based on the popular novels Journey to the West. The title is published by R2Games, a company also responsible for MMOs such as Knight’s Fable, League of Angels and Wartune. In the game, players will mainly focus on levelling up their character, improving skills, acquiring new gear and heroes/ companions as well as generally unlocking new features as they defeat hordes of ancient enemies threatening to take over the heavens.

Monkey King Online allowed us to choose one of the four of the main characters from the stories and, of course, we opted for trying out Monkey himself. We were able to play through the initial 36 levels of gameplay (in just a bit more than 20 minutes) in order to find out what new title was all about and get an impression of what it had to offer.
