Today we bring you the first installment of 2016 of our section the best free-to-play MMOFPS of the month. This year promises to be very interesting, since very exciting games will arrive throughout year, unfortunately we'll have to wait a little longer for them, however the year has started with several very interesting updates for some games of our list.

Delivering stunning graphics and tightly balanced team warfare, the title also offers a huge variety in gameplay and customization options with numerous weapons and equipment, individually customisable characters, varied maps and a grand selection of varying game modes.
7 - Blacklight Retribution
Blacklight Retribution is a free-to-play multiplayer online first-person shooter based in a futuristic urban warzone. By fully utilizing Unreal 3 technology and implementing DirectX 11, it provides gamers with stunning graphics. Players have access to a massive arsenal of weaponry and gear ranging from bleeding edge side arms to massive mechanized Hardsuits.
6 - Hawken
Hawken is a free-to-play online multiplayer mech-based first-person shooter that puts players in the pilot seat of a giant robotic war machine. Players can customize and upgrade their mechs the way they want, then join their friends on the battlefield to rain destruction across Hawken’s beautiful and immersive alien landscapes.
5 - Dirty Bomb
Dirty Bomb is a new fast-paced MMOFPS from the creators of Batman: Arkham Origins Multiplayer, Brink and Wolfenstein: EnemyTerritory. Set in the streets of London, this adrenalin-pumping kill fest enables players to switch between multiple characters that offer distinct play styles to battle with and against other players from all over the planet in a communicative co-op.

4 - Combat Arms: Line of Sight
Combat Arms: Line of Sight is a fast-paced military-themed MMOFPS that combines exceptional superhuman powers and real-world military weapons. Players will be able to completely customise their weapons before jumping into intence battles featuring fireballs and meteor strikes.
3 - Planetside 2
PlanetSide 2 is a massively multiplayer online first-person shooter that delivers truly epic, massive combat on a scale never before seen in stunning, breathtaking detail. Battles wage with literally thousands of players aligning with one of three unique factions in intense land, air and vehicle gameplay where the fight for territory is more than a victory, its survival.
2 - Warface
Warface is a free-to-play 3D shooter MMO that combines competitive gameplay with the traditional single player modus and also offers cooperative gameplay for one or more players. Players may customize their weapons in real-time and even during battles. 1 - Heroes & Generals
Heroes & Generals is an online war game with multiple game modes accessible from multiple platforms. Players are able to play the game as the hero on the battlefield in the action-packed FPS mode, the officer making the tactical decisions to win the battle, the general command devising the grand strategy in the RTS mode.
