Ghost Recon Phantoms To Receive Major Content Update

Ghost Recon Online - news

When officially launching on April 10, Ghost Recon Phantoms will provide players with multiple changes and improvements, such as new customisation options, a revised matchmaking system and more to enhance the overall gaming experience.

First of all, the initial 2 tiers of weapons will be removed and prices for all weapons will considerably drop to allow newbies instant access to more powerful weapons, enabling them to immeadiately work on improving their combat abilities.

Player will moreover be able to use weapon camouflages to personilise their weapons' skins. Th first 10 como sets will be introduced for release, with additional ones to be added in the future on a regular basis.
"We wanted to find a way for players to differentiate themselves on the battlefield and create weapons that fit their style, so we created ModMaster to put that power in the hands of our players," explained Simon Davis, lead designer for Ghost Recon Phantoms at Ubisoft Singapore. "This new system is also more cost savvy for players and creates more than half a million weapon configuration possibilities including fire rate, handling, scope and ready-time."

Furthermore, the matchmaking system underwent a complete overhaul and will now also take into account the players' equipment performance when putting teams together, instead of only considering their skills. This change demanded by players for a long time is supposed to prevent circumstances where opponents are unfairly matched against each other, which previously resulted in an imbalanced gameplay experience.
