Exclusive presentation of Howrse at the Ubisoft Digital Day

The Ubisoft’s Digital Day, which was held in Paris last week, was an opportunity for our team to learn more about the different free to play games of the French publisher. Here is an exclusive presentation and some screenshots of Howrse.

Howrse is a free-to-play browser game focused on the world of horse riding. Players start by breeding, taking care, and training their horses. Once these horses have reached a certain age and skills, they will be entitled to enter exciting competitions. There are six possible skills to train: stamina, speed, dressage, galloping, trotting and jumping. Horses can improve their skills by being trained in the right way. At the same time, genetics also plays a role because players can improve the potential skills of their foals by selecting parents that already have a certain level of skills themselves.

As you win competitions you start to ladder up the ranking of best breeders. There is also a ranking of best horses and another one for the equestrian centers. Players that decide to create their own equestrian centers, have to build it from scratch and manage its resources. The better the services they offer, the more players will be willing to board their horses in it and for a higher price. Equestrian centers also hire other players who have different jobs in the game as a way to earn equus that will allow to progress in the game. On top of that, equestrian centers offer competitions that help breeders train their horses.
