With the latest update, the Contemporary Era has arrived to Forge of Empires, allowing players to experience a new generation of city building. They now get access to several Asian-themed buildings as well as military buildings which will boost their army. Moreover, a new desert-inspired continent map, new units and new province leaders.

This new chapter provides players with a plethora of things to explore, with up to 66 story quests tailored to their decisions awaiting them. They will get their hands on new and enhanced improved units such as missiles, helicopters and mobile air defence units while also being able to construct computer games companies next to logistics centres, business centres and fish markets in their towns.
InnoGames has moreover announced to also host an uncanny Halloween event in Forge of Empires, which starts today and will go on until November 5. Players will be able to complete special quests in the form of riddles to be awarded by the quest master Jack O’Lantern with a new building or 2 new portraits. In the spirit of Halloween, a haunted house will be available as a final reward for the first time. Players will also be able to upgrade or get graveyards.
