Blade & Soul Will Arrive in NA & EU this Winter

Blade & Soul - news

NCSoft has just communicated plans to start closed beta testing of the European and North American versions of Blade & Soul this autumn while the official release is set for winter. Already released in 2012 on the Asian market, this Korean MMO RPG will now eventually make its way to a western audience.

When launching in western territories, Blade & Soul will be entirely localised (including full voice-over) into English, German and French. In order to find out whether the title will be available for free, we'll have to be patient a bit longer, as further information concerning the monetarisation model have been announced for summer.

Set in an Asian-themed mythological world, Blade & Soul will allow players to engage in action-based combat using ability combos. The game's flexible party role system won’t require any dedicated healer.

"Blade & Soul is one of the most anticipated online games by Western consumers", commented John Burns, senior vice president of publishing at NCSOFT West. "This is a tremendous opportunity to bring one of the most successful and fun online games in Asia to our Western audience this winter and we can’t wait to deliver this extraordinary and distinct gaming experience to millions of new players across Europe and North America".
