Ankama has announced that Wakfu, its second MMORPG, currently in open beta, will be released the next February 29th . Whilst WAKFU retains some of the basic features seen in DOFUS, gameplay is governed by player responsibility this time around, and the familiar comic and strategic aspects of DOFUS are accompanied by exclusive political and environmental elements.

In addition to this announcement, Ankama has released its second developer diary, in which members of the WAKFU team explore specific aspects of the game and the methods used in their development. This Developer Diary deals with the theme of the different monsters and enemies you’ll come up against in WAKFU. Game designer Azael and level designer Jimmy explain the ways in which the game’s creatures can influence players’ experience of WAKFU.
